We're built for patients other practices weren’t built to serve – and we're changing trans healthcare, one zap at a time. Airship is a medically guided, gender-affirming electrolysis practice focused on permanent results. Our team is LGBTQ-led, trained in high-volume and pre-surgical work, and experienced with WPATH-aligned care standards, documentation, and long-term treatment planning. That means clear communication, consistent technique, and a practice designed around meeting your goals.
Airship specializes in gender-affirming electrolysis services. Most of our patients are transgender or gender-nonconforming (GNC) individuals seeking relief to gender dysphoria and/or prepping for gender-affirming surgery.
Anyone seeking electrolysis services, whether they are trans or cis, can book sessions with Airship at the self-pay rate.
Patients with a gender dysphoria diagnosis, who are seeking regular weekly sessions, are eligible to become Airship insurance regulars. These patients receive priority booking and insurance support from the office team. If you are eligible for insurance coverage with us, we will reach out with next steps upon receiving your intake.
Special priority is given to patients with surgery dates scheduled, whose timelines are contingent on clearing the hair from a graft site before surgery.
There are a number of reasons why Airship only offers sessions in increments of 60 minutes. First, we find that hour-long sessions work well for the majority of our patients, as most have adequate hair density to benefit from 60 minutes per session or more. Additionally, standardizing our session lengths as 60 and 120 minute blocks allows us to maximize scheduling day-to-day, serve as many patients as possible, and accommodate paid breaks mandated for our employees.
Airship Electrolysis has two locations, both walking distance from South Berkeley BART.
3101 Telegraph Ave #9 is located at the intersection of Telegraph Ave and Prince Street. There's a small parking lot behind the building on Prince Street. Patients can use spots marked "therapy group" if they're available. The entrance to the building is on Telegraph Ave. Look for the sign that says "Therapy Group" and take the stairs to the second story. The door code to enter the building is #040956. The waiting room is directly to your left. Airship's treatment room faces the waiting room.
2999 Regent Street, Suite 300A is located on Regent Street, off Ashby Ave, one street behind Alta Bates Hospital. You can take the elevator to the third floor and enter suite 300A to find our waiting room. There's paid parking in a lot and street parking in the vicinity. Starting in February 2026, this location is our day-to-day HQ, with four treatment rooms operating 7 days a week.
